Background

The inception of the SPLASH Festival in 1990 as a family orientated Easter Festival has become synonymous with our city and has been enjoyed by visitors to the coast for many years.

The festival, in previous years held in the same location, has attracted hundreds of thousands of people daily, and while last years change in location received some negative reaction, we anticipate that moving it back to its traditional base will mean similar numbers to previous years.

With its strategic position back at Hobie Beach, also incorporating the Boardwalk Entertainment & Casino Complex, where additional activities will take place, we plan to offer visitors a unique experience, which will only be found in our unique Metro of Nelson Mandela Bay.
